However, cleaning private parts during menstruation is not as simple as ordinary bathing. Excessive washing or improper use of cleaning products may destroy the natural acid-base balance of private parts, and cause unnecessary health problems. Therefore, knowing how to properly clean private parts is a must-have skill for every woman.
Correct menstrual care and cleaning method
Warm water cleaning is the main method
During menstruation, the most important thing is to keep the private parts clean, but there is no need to over-clean. Warm water cleaning is the most recommended method. Using warm water to gently wash the vulva (outside the private parts) can effectively remove secretions and menstrual blood without irritating the skin.
Never use overheated water, because overheated water may cause blood vessels to dilate or irritate the skin, causing discomfort.
It is best to keep the water temperature around 37°C.
Choose mild, non-irritating cleaning products
The skin in the private parts is more sensitive, and using cleaning products with natural ingredients, such as tea tree oil, glycerin and other ingredients, will be more gentle. Try to avoid using ordinary shower gels or soaps, as their pH values are usually alkaline and may disrupt the natural acid-base balance of the vagina.
During menstruation, change Sanitary Pad every 4 hours, and use panty liners before and after menstruation to keep them clean, and the same goes for tampons.
